MR POSH – THE DESIGNER
Born in Egypt, Mr Posh knew from early childhood that he was destined to create woman’s clothing.
At the age of 13 he became the apprentice of Cairo’s most exclusive and accomplished master tailors. He learned to create patterns and understand the art of fabric and clothes design. He opened his first fashion boutique in Cairo, being just 17 years of age. He worked with the Egyptian society to create a new fashion sense for the Eastern women, using exotic fabrics and inspirational designs.
Only 22 years old and with a desire to learn more about Western fashion, Mr Posh migrated to America and opened his first designer store in Wiltshire Boulevard, LA. He created fashion that competed with the big labels on Rodeo Drive and in Hollywood.
In an open competition with first class designers such as Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, Mr Posh won a contract with the Royal Highness of Brunei, creating a new look for the Royal family of one of the wealthiest men in the world.
Once the assignment was completed successfully, Mr Posh worked in Washington DC, Las Vegas, Cairo and New Zealand for a famous clientele, creating fabulous designs for Eastern and Western cultures alike. He staged large fashion shows and was fundamental in bringing chic and extra-ordinary designs to his customers, which included Bette Davies, Prince and Louis Jordan.
Today Mr Posh has opened an Atelier in Brisbane, show-casing his vast Designer collections including wedding and bridal wear, formal attire, winter clothes, casual and dancing outfits and business wear. Mr Posh believes in that every woman of every age and shape can be made to feel beautiful in the right clothes and designs.
